US Tariff Information for Brushes and Pencils

Important Notice: We want to inform you about important changes affecting brushes and pencils in our wholesale catalog when shipped to United States destinations. We believe in complete transparency with our partners, and want to share both the challenges we’re facing and the solutions we’ve implemented.

Our Current Challenges & Solutions

📈

Rising Costs

Our costs have surged significantly due to a combination of factors including increased tariffs, higher manufacturing expenses, and elevated shipping costs. These increases have put substantial pressure on our ability to maintain our previous pricing structure.

Exploring Alternatives

Please know that we’ve explored every possible alternative to minimize the impact on our valued wholesale clients. Our team has investigated different manufacturing locations, shipping routes, and supply chain optimizations in an effort to absorb these costs internally.

Our Solution for Chinese Products

After thorough analysis, we’ve determined that the current cost structure is not sustainable under the previous shipping model. Chinese-manufactured products will now ship from our Canadian warehouse to USA destinations with DDP (Delivered Duty Paid).

Tariff Application

Due to recent trade policy changes, select products in our inventory are now subject to tariffs when shipped to US addresses. These additional charges are applied as a separate line item labeled “U.S. Tariff Adjustment” during checkout.

What This Means For You:

  • Affected Products: Specific items in our catalog (marked with a “US Tariff Notice” on the product page)
  • When Applied: Only when shipping to US addresses
  • How Calculated: The tariff is calculated based on the subtotal of affected items
  • Transparency: The tariff appears as a separate line item at checkout for full visibility

Minimum Order Quantity Requirement

To maintain efficient distribution and manage the impact of these tariffs, we’ve implemented a minimum order quantity (MOQ) for affected products:

MOQ: 50 pieces for tariff-affected products

This can be a combination of variants across affected products. For example, you can order 30 pieces of Product A and 20 pieces of Product B to meet the requirement.

Identifying Affected Products

All products subject to these requirements are clearly marked with a “US Tariff Notice” on their respective product pages. This notification appears directly below the product description and above the “Add to Cart” button.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are these tariffs being applied?

These tariffs are the result of recent trade policy changes that affect specific product categories imported into the United States.

Can I avoid the tariff by shipping to a non-US address?

Yes. The tariff only applies to shipments with US destinations.

Does the MOQ apply to all products?

No, the 50-piece MOQ only applies to products subject to US tariffs.

Can I combine different affected products to meet the MOQ?

Yes, the 50-piece minimum can be fulfilled by combining any products marked with the US Tariff Notice.

Are these tariffs refundable?

Unfortunately, these tariffs are government-mandated fees that we cannot refund.

What does DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) mean?

DDP means that we, as the seller, take responsibility for all shipping costs, import duties, and customs clearance. Your products will arrive at your facility with all duties and fees already handled.

Why ship from Canada instead of directly from China?

Shipping from our Canadian warehouse allows us to better manage the supply chain, maintain consistent inventory levels, and optimize the handling of tariffs and duties for US-bound shipments.
