Host a brow party. A brow party is a fun and interactive way to introduce your salon and your products to potential customers. You can invite a group of friends, family, or clients to your salon and offer them free or discounted brow services, demonstrations, tips, and samples. You can also encourage them to bring their own friends and spread the word about your salon.
A brow party typically involves inviting clients, potential customers, and beauty enthusiasts to your salon for an exclusive event centered around eyebrow services and styling. During the party, offer a variety of eyebrow treatments such as shaping, tinting, and grooming at discounted rates or special packages. Create a vibrant and social atmosphere by incorporating music, refreshments, and interactive activities. Ensure your skilled staff is on hand to provide personalized consultations and tips on eyebrow maintenance. Consider organizing demonstrations or mini-workshops to showcase your expertise and educate attendees about the latest brow trends and techniques. To maximize the impact of the event, encourage guests to share their experiences on social media, leveraging word-of-mouth marketing and potentially attracting new clients. A well-executed brow party not only promotes your salon’s services but also fosters a sense of community, leaving a lasting positive impression on attendees and driving future business growth.
Create a blog or a newsletter. A blog or a newsletter is a great way to showcase your expertise, share your insights, and provide valuable information to your audience. You can write about topics such as brow trends, tips, tutorials, FAQs, product reviews, and more. You can also use your blog or newsletter to announce your promotions, events, and news. You can use platforms such as WordPress, Mailchimp, or Substack to create and manage your blog or newsletter. It is important with your news letter to provide your customers with information they’d actually be interested in. Don’t make every newsletter about selling products and services, give them other information they want to read about.
Offer a brow makeover contest. A brow makeover contest is a fun and effective way to generate buzz, excitement, and engagement around your salon and your products. You can invite your customers or followers to enter the contest by submitting their photos, videos, or stories of why they need a brow makeover. You can then select a winner or a few winners and offer them a free or discounted brow makeover at your salon. You can also document and share the transformation process and the results on your social media, website, or blog.
Create a referral program. A referral program is a great way to reward your existing customers and attract new ones. You can offer incentives such as discounts, free services, free products, or gift cards to your customers who refer their friends and family to your salon. You can also track and measure the effectiveness of your referral program and adjust it accordingly.
Partner with other local businesses to carry your cosmetics. You can expand your customer base and increase your sales by partnering with other local businesses that cater to your target market. For example, you can partner with hair salons, spas, boutiques, and hotels and offer them your cosmetics at a wholesale price.
We had one customer with a lot of success this year who partnered with a local boutique who carried a few of their products. Local boutiques tend to cater to a crowd that is looking for products from local business and wants to support the success of local business. Because cosmetics are a high margin item they are a great natural fit within the boutique business model. You can set a b2b price on your cosmetics that give you profit, the boutique profit and keep their customers happy.
This model of selling offers a great way to not only grow your product sales but also help grow your core services too. A boutique customer tends to be more financially stable and if they love your products are more likely to visit your store when they need services.
